REGISTRATION & COST:
Ø  Online Registration via Smoothcomp ONLY. No walk-ups or mail-ins accepted.
REGISTRATION PRICE NOW THROUGH SUNDAY, MAY 11. LATE REGISTRATION FEE APPLIES MAY 12 through MAY 15, 2025 (at midnight Pacific time)
– Kids (13 & under): $70 Normal (deadline May 11) & $80 Late (after May 11)
– Cadets, Adults, Veterans: $85 Normal (deadline May 11) & $95 Late (after May 11)
– Combat Sambo: $100 Normal (deadline May 11) & $110 Late (after May 11)
* If you club is not present on Smoothcomp – ask your Club manager to register (its free) OR use “American Amateur Sambo” Academy as your Club/Academy during registration.

Ø Spectators: $5 Admission (spectators over 5 years old; no fee for coaches)

ATHLETES
All Athletes must go to smoothcomp.com and create a free smooth comp account / athlete profile. Once completed, athletes can register for the event.

WEIGH-INS:
–  ALL COMPETITORS MUST HAVE THEIR COACHES VERIFY THEIR WEIGHTS AND REPORT THAT TO VITALY ZASLAVSKY (aasfederation@gmail.com) BY THURSDAY, 9PM AND MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED ONLINE
  * No need to come on Friday | We Reserve The Right To Spot Check Weight If Needed

– In-Person (if no Coach to certify, prior online registration/payment is still required), Friday (the day before tournament) 7pm – 8pm @ Tournament Venue

ELIGIBILITY:
Any Sambist, No Organization Membership Required
* Every participant has to have a valid medical insurance, and present the certificate at the time of the Tournament

RULES:
Modified FIAS rules will be used. No chokes in all Novice Divisions. Arm Bars / Leg Locks allowed (till straight arm in Novice divisions). Chokes allowed in Cadets & Adults divisions upon mutual agreement of the competitors. We ask that all competitors have a properly fit red/blue SAMBO gi and sambo shoes (optional in kids divisions).

Scoring System: Round Robin For Divisions of 5 and fewer; Modified Double Elimination for all others.

AWARDS:
Medals and Award Certificates for the 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place

Tournament System:
Online Registration, Bracketing, Scoring, Livestreaming and Results Will Be Run On Smoothcomp Event Page.

Tournament Director Reserves Right To Combine Weight Divisions (to ensure every athlete has the opportunity to compete), And To Make Any Other Changes They Deem Necessary To Insure Safety & Fairness To All Competitors.
